Dragon Slayer TurboDuo

What is Dragon Slayer like? I've heard pretty good things. Isn't this a Falcom game? So is the Music as good as Ys? The cut scenes look very nice. So is the game like Final Fantasy. Any impressions?

not anything like final fantasy. the attack screens are a lot like cosmic fantasy 2, phantasy star, vay and the such meaning you see the enemies just kind of floating in front of you. the game is great, the story is great...dont ask. just buy. get Y's, Dragon Slayer and Cosmic Fantasy 2 and youll be all set. btw you need the 2.0 system card (super system) to play it IIRC.

Yep I have CF2 and Ys for my Duo so I guess Dragon Slayer will be next.

Dragon Slayer and Cosmic Fantasy 2 are two of my favorite games. I enjoyed them more than Ys.

Wow I forgot all about Dragon Slayer. I wrote this game off just from reading a boring feature about it in a old Turbo Force magazine. The article basically said nothing of the game and had some screenshots including a complete detailing of the ending. ??? Why would you show off the ending of the game you're trying to sell?

Turbo Force! Jeez, I forgot all about that magazine. Dragon Slayer is worth buying. The cinemas are cool, and the last boss music is bad ass.

Dragon Slayer is a great old-school RPG for Duo. I think it played more like Dragon Warrior than anything else with the black background, still portrait enemies, and characters who aren't visible. Had a great storyline and fantastic music, worth playing through for those two things alone The voice acting wasn't too shabby either for it's time.
