If you count PSone games then the PS2 completely kicks the DCs ass 2D wise. The PSone has an superb selection of 2D games.

He listed shmups and fighters, and not even with the PS lineup combined does it touch what the DC has. The Saturn, yes. Now, for 2D in general then yes indeed the PS is quite nice in this aspect.

Especially not fighters. Not even close. The DC could practically be called, "The Fighting Game System," while the PS can't handle any 2D fighter (except for SFA3) very well.

Dreamcast gets completely maimed against the PSone when it comes to shmups. Unless Progear, ESPrade, Dodonpachi 2, Border Down and Dimahoo get released on Dreamcast I don't see that situation changing. I agree though that when it comes to 2D fighters the PSone is absolutely worthless although i'm keen to check out the original Guilty Gear.

Not saying the DC is shit as I'll still be playing Bangaio, Matrix, SF3 and hopefully Ikaruga. Just making the point that dissing the PS2 and PSone is completely unfounded.

The psx has more quality shmups than the DC. Check out the shmups.com xenocide files.

I would enjoy MS3 on the DC. It would make me happy.

Man, I have this on AES and I'd probably by it on Dreamcast, just because it would be damn cool. Here's hoping.
