As for being part of the U.S., we've been so for 104 years, but I guess it depends on who you ask. Some stores piss me off because they'll accept my domestic money orders mailed with a first class stamp, but want me to pay international shipping rates.

Those are my thoughts as well. It is 167 miles from my front door to the hotel, according to MapQuest. I have my eyes on the Econo Lodge for about haf as much dough per night though.
