I feel that the only way the X-Box will sell decent in Japan, is if they offer twice as many quality titles as either PS2 or Gamecube. The Gamecube sold over a million units withing the first 3 months. The X-Box could'nt even sell out it's launch stock.


Like it or not, the Japanese consumer is very patriotic in it's choices of product. I read an article several years ago, about how hard it is to sell American made products in Japan. The article featured a guy that was making headway there. He manufactured bicycles. They stated that his product was of such high quality, that it took notice among consumers there. His story was a very rare feat, in a market generally dominated by the Japanese product.
