    what was that game called..

Have you any fond memories of a game from your childhood, however the name escapes you? Well until today I was having a hard time remembering this isometric shooter on the NES, wich turns out to be called Captain Skyhawk. I was just playing random games on my NesterDC disk when I happened upon it. It still plays like I remember, only I could've swore it had a soundtrack.

I was also fooling around with a CPS emulator a month back when I discovered Carrier Air Wing and Mercs again. I used to play these games like mad when I was younger. Too bad 7eleven doesn't have any arcade cabinets any more, they had an MVS cabinet with Last Blade and Bust-A-Move awhile ago.

  2. Captain Skyhawk. So you still actually enjoyed it?

I did have fond memories of that game when I was a kid but, playing it now, I realize trying to avoid exploding mountains ain't that much fun.

Well I'm sure nostalgia plays a role, but control is still smooth and it offers a challenge.

  4. i think it's damn near as fun to play as it was back then...one of the old NES games that stood the test of time, for me.

On the NES there was some game involving ninjas. Two player cooperative play. Red ninja and Blue ninja.

There was a secret screen clearing special move that was up and B, or something like that.

It was a side scroller, with a few climbing levels.

I would really like to know what this game is. No one can ever help me.

    Blue Shadow maybe.

  7. Shadow of the Ninja from Natsume. Damn good game. Never hold down the attack button.

Hmmm. Time to DOWNLOAD AN ILLEGAL PIRATE ROM and use an EMULATOR to see if that is indeed the game. EMULATION is awsome.

  9. I remember playing this kick-ass side scroller D&D-type game at the arcades where you could free prisoners and have them join you. Then I came across a CPS emulation site and found the name. Magic Sword! This game rocked! I didn't remember it was made by Capcom, I thought SNK made it. I love Capcom!

  10. I remember 11 years ago when my family and me were visting florida the hotel had this Arcade 2D fighting game. I have not clue what the name of it is. All I can really remember is that there are two main character that looks a lot a like, and dressed "Cool" for the time. But the main thing that stnads out is that most opponents were like 8 times your size, huge guys. Maybe you could only be two characters and had to take others on. Does this spark anything with anyone? It was not made by Capcom or SNK thats for sure.

Also I think maybe the opponents grew to that size, and I remember all the backgrounds being in the street, with people cheering you on. This has been bothering me for years.
