Sega brought back the Scream in an act of desperation near the end of both the Saturn and Dreamcast lifecycles. I guess they aren't desperate now... but... well... I don't really have a point here. I just wanted to bring that up.
Please take this as a bad joke:Originally posted by Melf
Is it me or does Sega suddenly have a hard on for everything they used to do well?
If sega suddonly did have a hard on, but it happened to have four controller ports, who here would play it? Seriously, the next sega system launches but is in the shape of a hard on...

I'd buy it. So would you.

The only thing that would make that better would be if a black screen with little white lettes said: "Produced by or under license from Sega Enterprises Ltd" preceded it.Originally posted by Cafeman
I'm also happy to read that the Se-Gaaaa sound is in Beach Spikers! I love turning on Sonic Genesis games and hearing that!
And, well, if the game was on a Sega system.Originally posted by Regus

Nonetheless, the Sega scream brightens my day every time I hear it, and it's a really strong, memorable trademark of Sega's - I think it's a great idea, bringing it back.
I heard the Sega Scream tonight while watching TV. It didn't quite sound the same as before, but it was still neat.![]()
That Sonic Advance commercial was so....SONICAL!![]()
Ugh. I have never owned that album and I never plan to. Nirvana was vastly overrated and promptly bested by other 'grunge' bands that had talent. Cobain was a waste of space is guilty of tainting 'rock' music making it the hell hole of crap we enjoy today.I may be the only one who noticed, but Kurdt Cobain once did the "sega scream"- or something that sounds like it. The album Nevermind (you do own a copy, dont you?), the song "Territorial Pissings".
Long live Rock and Roll. I can only hope the recent rise in the popularity of bands that play old fashioned rock instead of grunge influenced jibberish will continue.
Then again no one agrees with my musical opinions and this thread isn't even about music.
Damnit! Offtopic again!!
Um.....
I like the Sega chords and will always associate it with Sonic 1 and 2.
The scream was cool but I can't help but think SegaCD and with that comes painful memories of a young adults near life savings of $300 spent with only a handful of excellent games to show for it.
It's too late to post stuff...must sleep/
