Turner & Hooch meets Max Payne is now on the Xbox.

Namco's newest potential blockbuster, Dead to Rights is now available at stores nationwide. The game follows the story of a canine cop by the name of Jack Slate. With the help of his Husky named Shadow, Jack must try to clear his name after being framed for a crime he did not commit.

To further complicate matters, Jack must search out Grant City for clues related to the mysterious death of his father. Thankfully, DTR gives the player lots of tools to help Jack on his quest. Dead to Rights features over a dozen moves, including diving, rolling, punching, kicking, and disarming foes. In addition, Shadow can aid Jack by sniffing for bombs, retrieving weapons, and disarming enemies himself.

Namco's intent is to treat the player to movie atmosphere. This was achieved by hiring Flint Dille of G.I. Joe and The Transfomers fame to create the script. Resident Evil's (the movie) musical composer, Kevin Manthei, was brought in to handle the score.

After two years in development, Dead to Rights is now on store shelves with an MSRP of $49.99 and a ESRB rating of M for Mature.
