Just read this on Gaming Age. The Undead One has spoken out in favor of used game sales in Japan. The rest of the interview looks like the same old boring company line of course, just thought that was cool coming from such a conservative guy like Yamauchi. He really IS all about the gameplay. Anyways, here's the GA news story on it:
Yesterday's Nihon Keizai Shimbun has an interview with Nintendo's former president, Hiroshi Yamauchi. The interview contains a lot of comments about Nintendo's management style and references to Japan-only issues (such as the sale of used games -- for the record, Yamauchi is in favor), but there are two fairly interesting questions. It's not breaking news, but they are interesting comments nonetheless:
Buying used is the only way to go (except used consoles). Of course, I still think that 50 dollars is too much for any game.
