Thread: to sell my broadband adapter or not, that is the question.

  1. Sell it. DC online gaming is dying. And with exra $100 you can get couple of the new games like Sunshine, or put it towards Cube, PS2 or Xbox adapters. Its your call dude though.

  2. Keep it. With the keyboard and mouse, you'll eventually have a small linux box on your hands. If it's got the BBA, you'll be able to get online with it.

Besides, someone will probably find out how to graft a hard drive on it sooner or later. Small MP3 box! ^_^

    I am, actually.

  4. Christ, sell it. It really isn't too cool of a collectible, anyway. A modem. Big shit!

    Make the $ $ $ $....

  5. Sell it. I mean... what the hell's the point?

On the collector thing... speaking as somebody who is a former collector of baseball cards and videogames and who knows what else... collecting is just a synonym for crazy.

You gotta be nuts to keep the BBA for collection reasons.

quite proud, mainly because my x-band modem still has my original player stats (nationally ranked in MKII) and brings back so many great memories.. it also had several purposes after the network's death..

    import converter..
    secret things in DOOM
    cool music
    etc
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

  7. Actually, if I had one, I'd keep it.

First, I can connect it to my PC, for things like http://voot.sf.net, as well as a handful of multiplayer homebrew games.

Second, I download VOOT replays and whatnot quite often.

  8. Sell it. 100 bucks is a hundred bucks. You can buy some fun stuff with a hundred beans.

What can I say, I've been convinced. The final bid is going to be put towards a credit card payment. Thanks for the help everyone.

  10. Sell it to me. I don't have a computer, and I'm online soley through my DC. You bought it for 20? I'll give you 50. There's your profit, and you'd be helping me out.

Or you you can put it on eBay and get around 100-150 for it. But that would hurt my feelings.
