Thread: The Devil's Backbone

  1. The Devil's Backbone

Saw this last night, and was very impressed.

It's directed by Guillermo Del Toro (Mimic, Blade 2), and is about some strange goings-on at an orphanage in war-torn Spain. The acting, photography, and script are all very well-done.

Fans of horror/the supernatural will like it a lot. The film is in Spanish with English subtitles.

    Satoshi Kon: 1963-2010

  2. I still havent seen it yet, but I read alot about it in Fangoria, and my friend(who is also a movie nut ), enjoyed it alot. I will definately rent it, once I get through my constant backlog of dvds

  3. Great movie. I was lead to beleive it would be darker and harsher than it was, so I was a bit let down with how tame it was. However, its not that kind of film, its more about the story and the characters and the directing (which are all good).

  4. Yeah it was pretty good. Not great to me though. But I'm not really into supernatural movies (even though there's more to this movie than that). The story and the characters are all well done. I'm glad I saw it in the end.

    Later all...
