CyperUppercut is back ...with a Neo MVS cab!

Ahhh... found my old avatar and got it working again. No one probably noticed but I was gone from the forum for awhile while I got my work life into some reasonable shape. But now I'm stable and the proud owner of a Neo-Geo cab!

Spent the last month working on this sucker. Bought a MVS 25 cab for $250, but it was extremely dirty. I spent a couple days cleaning it up and its still a little dirty (didn't even want to touch the back of the monitor its filthy). I eventually learned how to adjust the coin mech to accept quarters. Then I got a dusty six slot board and cleaned it up installed the sucker into the cabinet! I'm pretty excited about it and just wanted to show it off.

Its the first cabinet I've ever owned. In a couple of months, I want to buy an new controller overlay for it and get new buttons and joysticks for it. The sticks and button are good right now, but I want some concave buttons and maybe some bat shaped joysticks. The only problem I know of is that the Japanese overlay may not fit american sticks and buttons so I've got to figure that out. Since I knew aboutsolutely nothing when I started I can say I've learned a good amount about arcade cabs in the past month, but I know I still have a lot more to figure out...

That sure is a beauty, man. Congratulations and enjoy. There's nothing I love more than a sexy white Japanese sit-down cab.

And it sounds like you got a real nice deal, too. Where did you pick it up, by the way?

I bought the cab from Arcade Infinity in LA. Jack at Arcade Infinity is a great guy! I won it in an ebay acution but I got a deal since he left me hanging for an hour when I went to pick it up and it was really dirty. I also got the six slot from ebay for $200 shipped. Spent a total of $450 for the set up and an extra $400 on games.

As for games, I picked up:

World Heroes Perfect
Kizuna Encounter
Blazing Star
Windjammers
Zupapa
The King of Fighters 2001

I got it all working on Friday and spent the weekend completely reagranging my bedroom to find space for it. Right now I'm just sitting back and enjoying!
