It'd never work on GBA. Hell even PS had trouble.
I really do think this game is horribly underrated. It's one of Treasure's better titles, and typifies everything that makes them such a good dev.
Also, you people are too hard on the "PS version". The import PS version looks a little worse, but is otherwise fine. It's just the US one that's messed up.

Such a great game with such a shitty localization...
I think Click_Stick said it best: in the PS rev, you get punished for using any of the other weapons, and they're fucking expensive to buy anyway ;___;
That's what REALLY makes the Saturn version the more enjoyable of the two.
And yeah, this game is fantastic.
Oh, sleeve, isn't the 5th "path" in the PS rev just that extra boss they added? And I'm pretty sure you can get it without having to do all 4 paths before.

Yep. And yeah, you don't have to beat the prior 4 paths to unlock it.Originally Posted by Mzo
But you do need to beat all five paths to unlock the fun bonuses such as "Super Core Fighter II Turbo." Playable Zophar!

YES!! That was pretty sweet, I must admit...
The ending credits also have playable Zophar goodness.

I think that was only in the US version, actually. WD did do some cool stuff. But the extra boss and ending was in the import PS rev. Which is the one I generally play, btw, since I have no saturn. It's not bad at all. Alot of bg detail missing, but apart frm that its fine.

If you can, play the Saturn version. Some say it's easier, but it's still pretty dam hard, IMO. I think it's more enjoyable.![]()
If it was done on GBA all the sprites would have to be redone in order to look right and a lot of battles would have to be tweaked for the size (ex: I'd think the soup battle would probably have to be two levels instead of three), but it could be done. This is definately one of my favorite 2D platformers ever and I'd have no problem picking up a new redone version.
The chances of that happening are probably real low, though.
I played the WD version and thought it was a cool idea but really tedious and annoying, then I played the Saturn version and absolutely adored it. Some like or don't mind the PS version, but I refuse to play it again because it just wasn't very fun.Originally Posted by NeoZeedeater
