    I hate that shit.

    Awsome...

  2. Here in the run-down:

Jewel cases: Can break. Sometimes easily. Front and back sides become scratched when rubbed up against other jewel cases. Looks ugly.

DVD cases: Cannot break so easily. A bit too large. Not quite so free-standing like jewel cases. Not too pretty, either.

Again, it's the whole "this item may have major deficiencies but those deficiencies can be fixed by this work around, so it's ok." That logic just boggles me. If something has deficiencies, use something else that doesn't. It's that simple.

  4. small = good
i go with jewel cases. they're easier to store and i like the way they look better. i never have a problem with them breaking unless i did something stupid that caused it. i keep my games in binders anyway. dvd cases are just too big... especially for domestic gamecube games... the discs are that small then they put them in a behemoth case... what's with that? :/
... granted they do make smaller dvd cases, but every domestic ps2/xbox/gcn game i buy comes in those big-ass cases... i just see it as a waste of space.

    Agreed.

  7. Jewel cases (esp. slim line ones) are way better, when you see cool art on a new game, it's much clearer and vibrant through the harder plasty. That thin shitty plastic on DVD cases gets faded/cloudy too easy. I never had a problem with jewel cases fading the cover art.... plus the replacment cases are cheaper.
