Thread: Eye Toy and a neat game idea

  1. Eye Toy and a neat game idea

This is the first I've heard of this game, and its an interesting idea. This is a PS2 game that comes with a camera that you put on top of your tv. The camera then displays you on screen and you play various mini games like swatting ninjas that jump at your head and a sort of Dance Dance type game. Here is more on it

  2. I reckon Nintendo should steal this idea and make the next punchout game with it.

That sounds pretty neat. I wonder if it will be any fun and if it will come to North America.

  4. official website

well, it's coming...i'm a sucker for this stuff, so i'm going to get one...

i remember working at circuit city in the computer dept when i was going to college and have web-cam games like these on the pc's...they are sadly addictive...

  5. PC cameras have been running this kind of software for eons.

I recon that little mascot jobby is cool, though.

And don't get me wrong. I'm not saying this kind of thing isn't fun, or won't be well recieved. Hell, I'm planning on picking one up! But it's far from new.

The official site is pretty awesome.

  8. This thing is cheap, right? I'm all over it if it comes in under $50.

  9. My girlfriend's computer already does all that nonsense. Sure it's fun for about 5 minutes, then the novelty is over, and it's boring. If Police 911 2 comes out, I'll get it.

It's supposed to be $39.99 when it comes out this fall.
