Thread: Gundam Federation vs. Zeon for PS2

  1. Gundam Federation vs. Zeon for PS2

I know that the Capcom arcade Gundam Game was called Federation vs Zion DX, but I would assume a name change for America? It looked solid, and fairly fun to play, so Im curious if this is the same game? I didn't see a mention of Capcom anywhere on the box so I'm wondering if it isn't the same game, and that I'm just stupid.

    Thanks.

  2. It's the same game. I had the DC import, and it was good fun.

  3. Spiff! Thanks for the reply. Bandai +1. My wallet -1.

They've added a campaign mode too. I never played the DC version and since this one's getting loaclized I guess I'm lucky.

BTW, It's the first Gundam game since the first DC one to be getting good reviews all around.

  5. Another thing that was added (and SORELY! missing from the DC release) is a versus mode.
    Boo, Hiss.

  6. Yeah. I missed that game on DC too, and looking forward getting PS2 version.

Strange that Capcom logo is missing.

  7. I'm looking forward to this being that game is based on the Geomatrix engine. Now I need to get that Gundam movie box set...

  8. strange.. i didn't think the game played much at all like geomatrix.
MK2 on XBLA plz - let the unfolding of gameplay begin!!

  9. If it's based on the Geomatrix engine, then they rewrote a hell of a lot.

It's a nice game, though, and I think it's ages better than Geomatrix. The thing that baffles me most, however, is that the DC version didn't include link play. I can understand the lack of split-screen, but no cable Vs.?

  10. Eh, its been a long time since I've read anything about it, maybe someone said it played like Geomatrix. This game has 2 on 2 battles, right? Are they all 2 on 2?
