Good to see that the pick-ups actually serve a purpose. I might pick this bad-boy up if I see it for a decent price.
This was one of the games I'd got my GBA for along with Firepro and Tactics Ogre. I picked it up today and must say I'm very pleased. The sounds are up to SNES par, as is the music and graphics, and let's be honest, that's when the X Series was at it's best. There are 70 some od Cyber Elves to collect, each with a different purpose/effect. Continues are limited, and you only have one life. If you fail a mission, then it is not replayable (Well, at least as far as I've seen) Anyway, just seeing if anybody else picked up this lil gem.

I was out shopping today and I saw this.. I didn't realise it was out yet. I wanted to pick it up, but alas... I am a bit skint right now...
Glad to hear it's good tho![]()
I picked this one up on Wednsday and I'm pleased with what I've seen so far. Beautiful still art in the cut scenes. However, I don't like the way you have to hold down the L button to use the sword instead of the blaster, it cramps my finger. With school now in session, class is the perfect time for a new GBA game like this though.![]()
I thought you were gay.... i guess not.
I was meaning to start an official thread this morning but I figured I would try to get through 70% of the game before giving my impressions. But while we're at it:
You get three "lives" from the start just like any other Mega Man game. However, it acts as though when you lose a "life" that the game is over, but you only just lose a life. However, when you lose all your lives, you "fail" the mission. I haven't quite figured out if there's a way around this but I guess not... when you fail a mission, you can no longer select it from the missions you need to beat from headquarters. A very odd system and I'm still getting used to it. The boss fights are great so far, and I find the best control scheme for me is:
R - Dash
L - Activate Sub Weapon
B - Sword
Sub-Weapon = Buster
A - Jump
Name: Rock
Town: Arcadia
Yup... I've got my setup just like Searchman said. Just restarted my game to get further into it with more lives and got a S on the first mission![]()
I guess I should restart too, I am down to 1 life and I doubt I want to go through the game worrying about dying once...
The Aztec Falcon boss was tough until I changed the control scheme. Now I'm gonna go back and see if I can beat him without getting hurt.![]()
Name: Rock
Town: Arcadia
Yeah, Aztec was a lil tricky, but I beat him and got an A ranking, leaving me with 3 lives left for the other missions.
Well, I guess I'll be going back to see how well I can do by starting over!
Name: Rock
Town: Arcadia
Sounds good, I might pick it up after I'm done with Legend of Starfi and Castlevania HOD.
P.S. Game Boy Advance makes every other current console it's bitch. *-neo
