Has it even been announced officially if anything (other than the new character) is going to change?

I remember reading a while back that they were thinking of changing up the Airship battles for the GC version.

Too true!

My main problem with SoA was that I felt the story and characters were awfully poor; shallow and two dimensional. Hopefully SoA Legend should have improved these aspects somewhat.

Loved the game, though. It had an atmosphere all of its own; I just wish they'd put a story and characters worth playing for in there.

I would hope not, the airship battles are by far my favorite aspect of SoA. I would fly around just hoping to find air battles, all though they were rare to come by.
