This reminds me a bit of the rumored original version of the Atari Jaguar.. according to EGM's of the early 90's, the plan was to have a multitalented box that could do many things: act as a computer complete with keyboard, even play VHS tapes (why, I don't know). No idea how much of EGM's report was true, but if it was at least that version of the Jaguar was ultimately abandoned. I still think that people want their game machines to... (now get this!) ...just play games. My bet is this will eventually fizzle, but then again, nearly any idea can sell if marketed correctly and with proper timing. If anyone can do it, it's the Sony hype machine.
