I think that FPS was Killing Time. I can't say I liked it much.
I remember that a rich friend of mine had a 3DO back in the day and he had quarantine and a FPS called timekillers or something like that, where you fought ghosts and monsters in a haunted mansion (gameplay was so so, but it had a nice atmosphere for that time). Of course, the only real reason to own a 3DO was RETURN FIRE.

And right between the two was Carmageddon. A racing action game which rewarded you for crazy stunt and killing innoncent pedestrians. Man this game had the coolest powerups. While the original was great, I still think the first sequel (Carmageddon2 Carpocalypse Now) was the best of the series. Full 3d pedestrians made hilarious dismembering. Probably the only game that allowed you to open you car doors and smash close by pedestrians. And man, just about any vehicule you could think of was in the game.Originally posted by NeoZeedeater
Before Grand Theft Auto, there was Quarantine.

Carmageddon was the sickest of all these games. Skidding into people is always fun.
yeah killing time reeked! carmegeddon...hehe....so much mindless fun.
If anyone can find a copy of Quarantine anywhere post about it here, I want to track down a copy now, I miss that beautiful game. I remember there was a text file that held all the dialogue from passengers, and you could just edit it to anything you wanted. What a game
Carmageddon was great, but I didn't like the sequel as much. The control seemed a lot more slippery, if I remember right.
I spent so much time with Carmageddon, I love that game. I used to try and beat levels by killing all the pedestrians, but almost never could. One of my favorites was driving into the football stadium where the two teams were set up and ready to play, and then making them run. I think a lightning powerup was in there as well, for frying them from a distance.
Quarantine on PC is classic...one of my all-time faves. It's ALL about that godly soundtrack!!
