    Head Over Heels

Unfortunately, I can't describe this game well since I only played it briefly almost 15 years ago but I remember it being very original and fun. Ocean Software's Head Over Heels is highly revered by Spectrum owners(the computer where it originated) and it was ported to other computers as well.

It's an isometric action/puzzle game where you control two creatures(Head and Heels). Head can jump high and Heels is fast. The coolest thing is that you can combine the characters to form one creature.

Hopefully, there's someone here who can describe this game better.

  2. Qbert used to be fat... no wonder why they made those snakes chase him up and down those blocks

  3. Hmmm. I could'nt describe it any better than you did. I spent only a little bit of time with this. However, there were other games that occupied my time. This is one game that I think just may work as a 3D update.

Methinks its time I dusted off the old Spectrum I have in my parent's basement...

  4. Never seen the game before, but I loooooove the graphics!

  5. Could this be from the same people who developed Knight Lore, the other Speccy isometric classic?

And this is OT, but has anyone here ever played the isometric GB game Altered Space?

Knight Lore was by Ultimate(Rare before the Rare name).

Altered Space looked neat. It was made by the same team as Solstice and Equinox, I believe. I still haven't played any of these Imagesoft games.

Nope, though the programmer, Jon Ritman, later went onto work at Rare.

Head Over Heels was a top game. The C64 version was excellent.
