    early game by Richard Garriot, of the Ultima fame. I don't know if this was his first one or what. anyways, it was done in basic, and you can check it out.

    I'll scavenge the code and see if I can figure out all of the commands.


    "g" "e" "k" "d" <--- all appear to be the same command. to enter buildings and such. a building will probably be a square on the screen and a dungeon would be an X.

    stores are a series of boxes in an X shape. and Lord British's . . .castle. . . is a large box with an X in the middle.


    dungeons are fake 3D like the ones in Golgo13.

    a- brings up attack menu. then you pick a weapon(by entering the first letter of the weapon's name) or just push enter to smash with fists.

    I played it briefly via Apple II emulation.

    You have to respect the first roleplaying game in video form.
