on one hand, at least, they might decide to make a serious cutback on the amount of codec talking, which has really brought the series down..

Who the fuck cares?!? MGS2 sucked ass! I loved MGS but part 2 was a joke. I guess it really comes down to if it's any good. I, for one will wait and play this one before I buy it. 2 years ago I would have thought someone was crazy if they told me I would think that way about the MGS franchise. It is a big deal for MS though. Even if the game sucks it's going to suck ONLY ON XBOX. As sad as that is it will bring in the mainstream gamer. Further proof that we life time gamers don't make a difference. Damn I hate that.
I liked MGS, but didn't dig the controls. MGS 2 was just, bleh. Went against everything the series stood for. And it made Codec talking, which was once important to the game, and meant something, completely meaningless.
I really wanted to like MGS2. But when it stopped making any sense whatsoever, I came to the conclusion that it was just shit in a pretty package.
