EA today announced the release of The Sims Deluxe Edition. This new title combines the original version of The Sims with its best-selling expansion pack The Sims Livin' Large and even adds in some bonus features.
Livin' Large adds more fun to the original game with strange characters such as the Grim Reaper, Genie, and the Tragic Clown, as well as items such as a home chemistry lab, a crystal ball, a heart-shaped bed, and more.
The Sims Creator is exclusive to The Sims Deluxe, and allows the player to customize their Sims in every way imaginable. Entire characters can be created from scratch, or they can simply be modified. Clothing can be selected or designed by the player. Jewellry, ties, and belts will also be available to make the characters more unique than ever. By far the most interesting (and frightening) feature is the option to put your own face onto a Sim character.
In addition to the above, players can expect to see loads of new furniture and clothing choices for their Sims.
The Sims Deluxe Edition is now available at retailers nationwide. As an added incentive, those who already own an original copy of The Sims can send in the proof of purchase in order to receive a $10 rebate. What are you waiting for? Hey, it's free money.
Yeah, I used to be addicted to The Sims. I tried the patch, the gum... nothing worked. I finally got help.
Alright, but seriously, the game was fun at first, but it just got boring for me after a while. I got the Hot Date expansion pack for Christmas, and that breathed a bit more life into it for me, but again, I lost interest after about a week or so. :/
I had a roomie who installed it simply to make J-Lo. That was kind of wierd. I still don't get how it's fun, it eludes me. But I'm glad you're over it, things should be better from here on out. I'd hate to have to operate. Especially seeing as how I'm not a licensed surgeon.
Another roomie did it to recreate our apartment at the time. We all ended up dying (in-game, that is).
