One of the first shooters I truely loved.
I remember the graphics totally blowing me away the first time I saw them.
And what about the cool snake in the boxart? Sweet!

I had the privelage to play the arcade version of this once in a truckstop in Kansas. Never saw a Lifeforce cab again.
The NES version is quite good, though, and I play me some LF on a regular basis. Its pretty much a straight-forward horizontal shmup and reminds me quite a bit of Darius.
Gotta love those solar flares!
Who remembers LF?

I remember there being just as many vertical as horizontal stages in Life Force.
Given the choice between horizontal and vertical shooters, I'd say ... BOTH!
Life Force, Salamander 2 and Axelay are all golden.
Life Force was one of the first three NES games I bought, along with Castlevania II and Contra. I'll always love that game.
The first stage music....awesome.
Love Life Force too. My brother and I used to play 2 player co-op all the time. We got pretty good at it back in the day too.
Hmm, may have to see if I can find a copy one of these days...I'd love to play the arcade version someday too, as I've only ever played the NES version.
