    Yes, yes he is. Apparently the famicom disk version has an extra voice of polyphony; I'm curious what he did with it. With any luck, that'll be the version in Prime.

  4. The famicom disk version, yeah. There are only 4 sound generators on the NES doing the music, meaning it can only have that many layers. He does some cool tricks with them, reverberating between two notes from a single channel very quickly, which is what makes those weird echo noises. But I'm curious to know what it sounds like with the extra generator on the disk add-on.

    It's very possible that it will be the disk version. Animal Crossing has the FDS version of Clu Clu Land, right?

  6. Well, I finally beat it tonight. Now my conscience is clear to buy Prime.

    Love the ending (even though I got the worst one).
