Much like with Rare, Square has been resting on its laurels for far too long now. I'm excited to see what Rare has in store for MS, and I think an MS buyout of Square COULD be good for Square in the short-term. Of course, the long-term effects of the buyout could result in Square becoming stagnant again as time went on.

What about Microsoft going off and buying (or doing a stock-exchange merger) with EA? Remember that Microsoft, financially, is a much stronger company than Sony.
