New Template

This is to announce a new default theme/template for the Cafe, based on the default SMF template.  I tried to keep the classic Cafe Tropico look as much as possible but with a touch of modern added in the graphic headers and borders.  Hope you like it!

The ads are a requirement of Gamespy, who are pushing to have all pages, including forums serve ads.  Eventually it may be automatic insertion, but I prefer to have some control, so hopefully this will satisfy that need.  To avoid the ads, you can click the 'minus' button beside your username in the main header and it will collapse the header to just the top border.  Or you can use ad blocking and the ad box should collapse itself.  Another option is to choose another theme, since this new theme is currently the only one with ads. 

To change themes, or if you must have the old classic Cafe Tropico theme back, click on the 'Profile' button on the main menu bar, choose 'Look and Layout Preferences', then click the link 'change' beside the current theme and pick one of the available themes.

This is still experimental, so if you see any new buglets, please let me know.  This theme should catch up with all the new forum features so hopefully some of the old bugs go away, including proper display of attached pictures within the post rather than in a blank window.

Whatever ads there were, I don't see them anymore. I did notice that there's a blue border around certain icons. But nothing else is different.

I like the new template. It's refreshing, but keeps the previous look + feel.

Thanks 'Bean!  No need to take your shoes off though.  This place isn't that sacred, though I was a little worried about messing with tradition.

Looks good, Dave.
But I do have a few observations to share.
First is the scroll bars on some of the avatars. I think I've taken care of that on my own by making my window just a little wider. No big deal.
Second is the "null" that appears at the beginning of a post if I post it from the preview page. Actually, I don't know if that is still happenning since I just go back and post from the reply window.
And finally, I can't make sparklies.

Yeah... I never noticed that because I have always used a 1024 or wider screen.... Actually I am at 1280 now with my flatpanels at home and work.

The scrollbars appear once you squeeze your window a little under 800.
