Anyone remember the 1983 movie "War Games"? Check out these pretty neat/fun renditions of "Global Thermonuclear War" (the program that the computer was running in the movie) in all of it's wireframe glory:

"Thermonuclear Domination" (freeware predecessor to the game "Radioactive" mentioned below) -> http://www.treality.freeserve.co.uk/domination.html

"Radioactive" (shareware, a lot fancier and more features than "Thermonuclear Domination" above) -> http://www.treality.freeserve.co.uk/radioact.html

Hehe, in the movie, remember the computerized voice of "Joshua" saying "Shall we play a game?"? -:) The voice of the computer in the movie was a utility called "SBTalker" that shipped with the original Sound Blaster 1.0 sound cards -:)

(from elsewhere on the 'Net)

Quote
"Joshua" from the movie "War Games" (that was in the theatres back in June 3, 1983) was the program that the computer system "WOPR" (War Operations Plan and Response) in the movie was running, and it's primary purpose was the program "Global Thermonuclear War".

Probably the most remembered phrase from the movie was "Shall we play a game?"

P.S. Radioactive runs great even on my P233 (o/c to 263MHz), with a lowley 2MB non-3D/non-hardware accelerated video card (contrary to what the min. sys. requirements are as listed on Cornutopia's web page) -:)
