Some scenarios crash me back to desktop

 I really like downloading the scenarios and trying to beat them.  Only one problem, some of them download and unzip okay.  I go into the game, pick that island, and the game flies me out the window, over to the Island and straight back to windows. 

I have 1.07 c and windows XP

I have tried downloading the games multiple times - no good.  I have even reinstalled Tropico. 

Please help me!

I only have the 1.07 patch and no extension packs.  (maybe its time I got around to getting them!)

Lack of extension packs seem like a reasonable reason why some games crash.  I hadn't thought of that!

 Same with me - v 1.07 and XP.   Only the game goes back to the desktop without any messages during one of the CD scenarios.

 Who are the idiots who decide to make new Windows operating systems when everything works alright already?  Don't they have something better to do (like...writing computer games).

  Also it does the same when run in compatibility mode for Windows 98,  and 2000,  and NT4.

If you are playing with version 1.07, scenarios made with a later version (PI + patches = 1.53) will cause you to crash.

I regret that I can not give you a list of the scenarios playable with v1.07.
