I do not recall having read any posts about this "effect."

The most obivious clue is the Special Circumstances setting at the game's begining of "Immigrants Out!"

One has to suspect that using that setting triggers a plus 100 value for the effect in all units with Birthplace = Tropico.

Of course, actually using it will take experimentation. My "absolutely a guess" is that it has a numerical value of 100 to -100. By interpolating from "Immigrants Out!", one can guess that the effect will impact the immigration rate. Minus values would welcome/increase immigrants.

I again simply guess that the scriptor could select certain "selectable (per UnitType, UnitAge, UnitIsXX)" classes of units and add to or substract from the value of the effect. For example, it may be possible to use this to inhibit immigration per the number of jobless or unemployed.

If it works that way, then it's a matter of immagination for the scriptor.

BTW, this is not something directly revealed about individual units -- or perhaps at all.

No.
UnitUI values apply to individual units (persons). I do not believe an individual's tendencies can effect immigration at all.

My guess would be that if an individual's UnitUIForeignerResentment is a high value, then their happiness would be lowered when they detect a foreigner.

That sounds cool. Thanks, Brf.
