I liked this new image Lubos Haemimont posted on kalipso forum: A blue church (*) in S. Salvador da Bahia... ... compared to the one on Trop3... (*) at least I think it's a church.

Although inspired by this image, the blue building in the game is NOT a church. There are enough clues around the internet to guess the function of the building.

I would have to guess that the large sign with MOTEL on it would have something to do with the building maybe

I would have to guess that the large sign with MOTEL on it would have something to do with the building maybe Look closer I think that the motel sign, refers to the building that is next to the one in question. The small yellow building, with NON STOP on it... appears to be the motel office. The larger yellow building, located behind the office, looks like the actual motel rooms complex.

A Socialist Cultural Tourist Attraction (museum).
I still can't figure out the Banker's "brown hat".
What happened to the dark-blue, pin-striped suit of the 1950s?
Did Caribbean bankers dress like "Undertakers - Funeral Directors" with a different hat?
I never saw bankers on the streets with briefcases. Briefcases were for students and bureaucrats; or else political "bag-men". Even the crooks carried the classic "violin case" rather than a current style briefcase.
Someone should write a monogram on the evolution of the briefcase -- if it hasn't already been done.

Looking about, I was led to an interesting web site: "Clothes make the man. Naked people have little or no influence on society” -- Mark Twain http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/Index.htmis devoted to men's clothes -- what to wear, how to properly wear it, and the history of why we wear what we do. http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/Teasers/Teasers/BriefcasesHistoryOf.htmProduces this "Teaser" (one can assume the site is really not about "history"): Most briefcases are derived from a limp satchel used in the fourteenth century for carrying money and valuables. It was called a "budget" derived from the Latin word "bulga" or Irish word "bolg" both meaning leather bag, and that’s where we also get the financial term.
Godillot of Paris first used a hinged iron frame on a carpetbag in 1826. Then followed the Gladstone bag and the Rosebery, an oval-top bag. Eventually these became the modern metal frame briefcase. Briefcases were, of course, named for the purpose of carrying attorney’s briefs.
Portfolio -- A case without handles to be carried in hand or under the arm. The name comes from the Italian "portare" meaning "to carry" and "foglio" a "sheet".
Folio case – A portfolio with a retractable handle.
Attaches – A diplomatic officer attached to an embassy or consulate officially assigned to serve in a particular capacity: a cultural attaché; a military attaché. The type of briefcase carried by such a person. A box style case, of leather stretched over a frame that opens into two hinged compartments.
Developed from the 19th century portmanteau (from Old French porter, meaning to carry) a suitcase with split hide stuck to a stiff millboard foundation. The reduced size version became the attaché.Someday an historian will tell us more in a concise way.. You too can fiddle around with the internet search engines. Times are a'changin' and getting an historical flavor for only 50, 60 or 70 years ago is not so simple as it might appear. Of one thing you may be assured, things in 1950 didn't look like they do today. On the other hand, it's sort of silly to try to decide what model rifles the Tropican army and the Tropican Rebels carry.

are you sure its a banker? Maybe the good develops have broken down the gender barrier and those are male bureaucrats, or perhaps a professor. All we can infer is that he presumably works in an office job.

Just please please PLEASE tell me you made most jobs gender nuetral? Obviously a few things (priest, soldier, showgirl, barmaid etc.) should be seperated by gender but few things annoy be as much as having a hospital needing some staff and a few female college grads working the plantation.

Another true statement, I can not stand having my female collage grads on farms. There needs to be a lot of high school and college jobs for males AND females. Equality people let's get with it.

Really, the people with the briefcases are just bankers. about 5 hours ago from web El_Prez twitters the solution. ... In another thread there was a long discussion. I'll assume El_Prez's twitter was accurate.

As usual, with the release of T3 screenies, no one has stated, whether or not they are of ACTUAL GAME-PLAY. Until such is declared, I recommend that posters consider the screenies to be from a trailer or a promo.

Hey guys,
Timo here from Kalypso Media. I can confirm that these screenshots are 100% real and taken from internal builds that are perfectly playable. The only thing these shots are missing is the user interface which hasn't been finalized yet.

Thanks Timo. The kalypso forum admin has also replied to my concern over the origin of the screenies. http://forum.kalypsomedia.com/showthread.php?tid=1370&pid=10041#pid10041

... taken from internal builds that are perfectly playable. ... Except with the population actually turned on with all the bell & whistles. I'm sure Timo goes along with admin at kalypso -- so their position is that the screenies come from an "actual" game. O.K. I'll accept that. And my respect for what they are doing drops to near nothing.
