While reading through the Tropico manual I have come across several mistakes. Not just the occasional typo either. On page 49 we have a table with housing types and at the very bottom We have the $4000 dollar Tenement with a picture of a country house instead.

Next, go to page 51 and go down to the ranch...it seems this doubles as a cannery  Grin

Is this just another example of a companies haste to release their product? Or maybe they just need to hire a new proofreader  Tongue

its corporate greed/haste to release a product, thats why the game itself is also loaded with errors, real the yearly book closly you will find some Wink as well as the gameplay bugs ;/ its disapointing but i guess thats why they have patches....

I bought the game at lunch one day and read most of the manual on my commute home.  I was wondering if the game had as many bugs as the book.

Lots of errors in the appendices.

One of the best, on page 64:

CHILD - TOO OLD TO WORK, will wander map enjoying retirement until passing away

The night club looks just like the cheap hotel.

They also omitted other basic info, such as the website URL for the developers/distributor/official game site?

Hola mi Amigos,

I'd like to point out that Poptop has stated that the original manual was A-OK when it was sent to the printer (typesetter?). Unfortunately it was the final printed product that contained the errors. BTW, the HTML and PDF format versions of the manual on the CD (I think they are installed to your hard drive when you install the game?) do not contain these errors. These were the original versions of the manual, hence no errors.

Also as far as bugs, I personally haven't seen all that many bugs in the game, short of the problems associated with that blasted infernal copy protection.

I find it funny that so many people posted to complaine about typos and
incorrect information but didn't bother to spell check and proof-read their
own posts on this forum.
Could this be a case of  'Do as I say but not as I do?'
