Where are the designers? There have been multiple postings on the different Tropico message boards regarding the "Crash to desktop" problem, and not one decent answer to be found. And by the way, who the hell is taking ownership of the many problems associated with the game. Gathering of Developers says check out the Take2 website, but they have no support forum.
It's amazing how eager game designers and publishers are to talk to everyone who will listen, until they get your 40 bucks.

Bye guys. I am sure that PopTop hears you and is working on the problem. It could be in the system you are using or in the programs you have running at the time. Personally, I have not had CTD in weeks, since I downloaded the patch. I enjoy the game and this board, except for the whiners and moaners. See ya!

look,
my view is that they were just rushing to meet a deadline. They probably weren't expecting many people to buy it, but when people did, then they decided to make an expansion pack, and fast. I'm pretty sure they'll fix it in the ex pack. (No, I'm not a programmer of the game, i just like it) So you can go on whining after you get a patch that fixes it, orbuy the ex-pack. You don't have to, though, and your right it it might be a waste of time for certain computers, but if it were my problem, i'd spend a couple bucks just to keep 40 from going to waste. They aren't just gonna let you hang like that, after all, or they'd go outa buisiness.

i just wanted to say that this is 2003 and the crash to desktop problem has not been fixed because i have the latest patch and it didn't do dick all
