Locating buildings on dense maps

My biggest problem is finding where/what buildings I have once the island grows larger with a big population. It's easy to keep track of in the beginning, but once the island gets crowded, I'm always searching around to find where my buildings are, and I forget how many/where each type of building is. It would be nice to have a report tell you what you have for buildings, or show you on the screen where all your marketplaces are for example...
