A lot of people have had this problem.  I've heard of no solution or work-around.  It seems that as long as there's even one cow (or goat), you can't bulldoze the ranch.  And if there's 2 cows (or goats), there'll always be offspring.  I've never had them all die off so I could try to bulldoze the "abandoned" ranch.  My solution now is to never build them.

Hmmm, weird. Brian and I are playing a shared island and I bulldozed two of his ranches (sorry Brian!  Grin) and it caused no problems. In fact we now have about a dozen cattle roaming the island.

Every time I have tried to bulldoze a ranch, I get the "I'm sorry, el Presidente, but you can not bulldoze that" window.  But I haven't loaded the patches yet.  Maybe that will help?

Weird, I have no patches running and can bulldoze ranches at will. What is going on here?

It must be some kind of conspiracy, Mr.P.  Maybe they allowed the bulldozing of ranches in the UK because of Mad Cow Disease.

Sorry, but I couldn't resist that one! :-/

;DTry firing all the farmers first.  Perhaps they lay down in front of the bulldozer like Arthur Dent from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy.
