I've been trying to install Tropico Mucho Macho edition (Windows version) for the last few hours. Everything worked out fine until it asked me to insert the second disc (data). I did this and it froze, right then and there. I waited a couple of minutes to see if something happened but it just froze. So I turned off the PC (without the "shut down" option) and when I turn it on again there's a Tropico folder, very small, like 1.80 mb or so. I tried to uninstall it but it did nothing, so I deleted the folder manually. After this, I insert the install disc again, click on "install" and it just closes and does nothing. I go to "Add/remove programs" and there's Tropico, like 1.70 mb and so I try to remove it but again it does nothing. I search for something called "tropico" on my PC and there's nothing. I deleted this file "818FB39B" from the installshield folder cuz I read that was a possible solution..still I can't install it from the CD and I can't remove that "Tropico" from the add/remove programs, even though it doesn't appear anywhere else. HELP!!!!!

There are tropico keys in your registry. If you remove them you might have better luck.
There is a blank key at HKLM/Software/PopTop/Tropico/1.0
You could try deleting the Tropico key....I suppose it couldnt hurt.
As far as not being able to remove Tropico at Add/Remove Programs, that is probably because you deleted its directory. If you restore that from your recycle bin it might work.
