How the heck do you bulldoze ranches? I get the "You can't bulldoze that!" message every time I try it and I've got three of 'em in spots I need to free up. Every other building clears out just fine, so I'm definitely using the bulldoze tool correctly.
Is this just a bug?

There is no known way to bullldoze cattle ranches... Yes, I believe it is a bug, and an annoying one at that. Hopefully it will be fixed in the exp pack...

i use cattle ranches becuase i personally think it is a better source for food, and i've gotten the 60% markup from the russians in several different scenarios, never had anything offered for fish

1) Fire all the farmers at the cattle ranch.
2) Wait one or two decades until all the cattle die.
3) Bulldoze the cattle farm.
Note: I've never tried this, but it just might work.

I think you -always- have at least two cattle ... at least as far as I've seen ... even when there is nobody to take care of them!

Hey folks, I have found that if you hold down the CTRL key and type in HAMBURGER, then click on a cow, they are removed and add 25 to the output queue of the nearest market!  |

OK Jim, I am on a mission tonight, to find as many bugs, loop-holes etc as I can in PI and report back. Other than the ladies night at the Cabaret I don't expect to find any, however I can tell you: You still cannot kill kids, tourists or cows via the eliminate edict.  |

YES!Use the Editor bulldozer function -- hot key "Z". If you have Rapido on, it will be instantaneous. Cows in the barn and any output queue will go too. Any cows in the field will not go. They are there, but I did not follow them over time to find where they will go. I tried it both ways -- without and without Rapido -- and it works both ways. Regards  Yep that works and its been tried before. Unfortunately the cows won't die. Only the ranch goes away and the cows wander around homeless. The main reason for all this is that there is no dead cow image in the game. So there really is no way those cows are going to die...and why would you just want the RANCH gone? -- MadamPresident |

No, the cows do NOT get attached to other ranches, unfortunately. This has been tried.
But thanks for clearng up why someone would want to remove the ranches....

I notice the odd thing is that you can bulldoze a shack or house with people living in them, but you can't bulldoze a ranch with cows on it(aside from using the editor). Even more evidence cows are sacred.

I think you can bulldoze goat ranches. If so, just covert your ranches over to goats and bulldoze away.
