[NEWS] Demo to be re-released, patch 1.07 coming!

Here's some great news direct from PopTop's Phil Steinmeyer today:

The demo will be re-released hopefully next week - just bringing the code up to version 1.06 to match the main game, and adding a pitch screen for Tropico to the end.  It'll be hosted by Gigex.  I think it's been unavailable for a couple months, but this will make it available again for at least 6 months.

Phil also told me that he has fixed the group variable game save bug and they are looking at one other bug and hope to have patch 1.07 out very soon.  Great!

I also forgot to mention that Phil is looking around for user-made scenarios, so if you know of any other than those here at the Cafe and Library, please let me know and I'll pass the info on.  As far as I know, there aren't a lot out there other than possibly some other foreign language ones.

Purely out of morbid curiosity, why does Phil want to know about user made senarios, are they planning to put them on a cd and sell them with new music as an expansion add on or something? *Ooooh, yes, that was a jibe at RRT2 Platnum*

I'm working on a couple of scenarios but I don't expect they'll be done till January end since I'm putting in close to 14 hr days at work.

Yeah, why DO they want user scenarios?

Patch 1.07 is out.  Fixed the group save bug, the problem with dead people not disappearing, and a bug introduced in 1.06 which will prevent the x-pack from installing when it is released.  Oops
