Pict - a member of the Picts, predecessor of the Scots.
roc - a creature from some African mythology, resemble a huge eagle, that have elephants for staple food...

Spanish:
rio - "river"

French:
roi - "king"

Swedish:
tro - "believe" or "faith" or "think" (in the sense "I think so")
rop - "yell" or "cry/call" (out)
por - a very small hole, like the ones in skin
pir - "pier", wavebreaker at a port
oro - "anxiety"
otro - "untrue", "unfaithful" or "cheating"
torp - "cottage"
ort - a horisontal corridor in a mine, or simply "location".
pi - the way to spell the Greek letter used for the quote between the circumference and diametre of a circle (~3.141592...), using roman letters.
tio - "ten"
tri - a common short term for trikloretylen, "trichlorosethylene"

(prefixes:
opto- "as connected to optics", example; optokabel - "optic cable".
tropo- "as connected to layers", examples; troposfär, tropopaus, tropologi)
