Cattle Ranches

I have never used cattle ranches, but this question was emailed to me:

I placed a cattle ranch to close to my tourist center.  Now the cows are eating all the grass making the place very  ugly.  When i tried to bulldoze it, it said this building can be bulldozed.   I think I have to kill all the cows first but how?  

Any thoughts?

you should be able to doze it.  What this means for the cows, i dont know.  Sometimes, if you expect the dozing to take place too early, you may hit the doze function twice on the same structure, if you do this, you will get the message that you cannot doze it, and this is because the "order" is already in, just waiting on construction workers to get over there and do it.  i did this several times while being impatient waiting on the demolition of some shacks.

With Ranches it says you cannot demolish this structure the FIRST time you try to click on it.  This about the third time this issue has been posted, but noone has a definitive answer.  Has anyone actually removed a ranch successfully yet?

The problem with bulldozing Ranches was finally corrected in a patch. It did have to do with the resident cows or goats. Now the regular bulldoze option is functional on Ranches -- and the resident animals die as part of the process (no meat).
