The latest crop of screenshots from Games Domain are very interesting!  Thanks for posting them Kendahlj!  The article mentions that two screenshots are from a mining/logging scenario and a tourism scenario.  Looks like you can slant a scenario's goals towards different objectives.  Anyone seen under that Goals tab on the ledger book?

They were certainly very revealing screenshots. In addition to the possible scenario slants, did you see the "Dress Code" pull-up menu on the Pub screenshot and the "Coach Service" on the Airport shot. What else is hidden under those tabs, and are they available from the beginning, or do they develop as the game progresses?

Ohh, so many questions, and so little (relatively) time to wait!! Cheesy

Gosh, I missed those options!  I think one aspect of the game that will be fun is the “tweaking” of your buildings. You don’t just “build” but you also set the parameters of the building.  Like setting wages, changing the programming of your radio and television stations, creating dress codes in your bars, etc.  What other options do you think will be available for the different buildings?

I thought the building profitablility screen was interesting, where each building is a different colour depending how profitable it is.  Things that would affect profitability could be wages, entertainment, prices, popularity, probably many more.

Yeah, what geographical implications are there for where you place your buildings? I know for pubs it'll be best to place them close to workers, but with 70-odd buildings we're gonna have to place carefully!

I'm in favour of spreading through the island with "satellite" towns, and eventually merging into one. With the odd Tropical paradise for the Tourists and my lackeys!

I've just checked out Kendahl's pics again, at Tropico Paradise, and found a few more interesting things.

Firstly, if you go to gallery 5 (exclusive Pics for Tropico Paradise!) and look at images "Various Buildings" and "Hidden among Banana Crops", you'll see a priority bar. It is green, with 4 "flagged" in "Various Buildings", but only 2 are coloured, and this time brown, in "Hidden among Banana Crops"

Whats all that about? Do your construction guys do things in the order you ask, by prioritising? How long does it take to create a building, on average? Can you select the number of guys per building, to finish it quicker? So many questions..I just need the game!

Secondly, what's with the large group of people in "various Buildings"? They've mostly got bed bubbles over their heads. Luke, have you been working your Tropicans too hard again ?! ;-)

I think a little word with a few journalists on your island is in order. My rebels are coming from the hills to overthrow your corrupt and brutal regime Luke. Cheesy

Get your soldiers ready, if they're still loyal.....
