A Different Game !
... I was reading another topic and it was mentioned that somebody got invaded by the U.S. Do you really stand a chance against a invasion from the U.S. or Russia?
NO !
as was accurately stated in the first answers.
Man that sucks! I would like to see a battle between my island's military and U.S. Marines.
Poor baby! You couldn't be bothered to look at a video in the circle window; NO, you demand several hundreds of hours of programming and animations all over the map. That's not a game. Go look at the archive newsreals of Grenada and Panama.
I think the fights should be more like those in Caesar 3. In that game you actually had a chance to fight off the huge invading roman armies if you pissed off the king too much. I actually defeated the Roman armies 4 times in a row -- now THAT is hard.
I think that allowing you to fight the US would give a challenge to the militarists and true dictators. Castro did it, so why can't we?
No he didn't. He fought off stupid CIA stooges. That insured that he had a hardened attitude about relations with the US. Go back and play Caesar 3 where you understand the game. Quit trying to muck up a game you don't understand and probably can't learn.
... I would like to see a battle between my island's military and U.S. Marines.
That's why I did it. I was hoping to see the little landing boats come from the gunship full of troops landing on my beaches and the troops storming the palace. It would have been sweet. But nope - No wars. If you want to see battles in the streets, you just have to piss off the military and have a coup. Those can be fun to watch.Let's all stand up and scream for "eye candy." Yes, you can start up game after game and piss off the army so you can passively sit back and watch the army destroy your Palace. Then you can see the escape row boat once again. After five or a dozen times, it gets boreing and you can go play another game.
Well, get capitalist and get the U.S. to stick a big ol' base on your island (try 3, one for air, one for sea, one for land!). Then, go piss off the d a m n e d commies and watch WWIII start on your island as it gets war torn and a bunch of nukes fly overhead and America wins because the U.S.S.R. has no economy. That would be fun.
Oh! Such a brilliant computer game designer. There is so much replay value in that scenario.
I don't give a d a m n about how ever much PopTop wants this mainly a builder. I mean it would be fun to watch the first wave of Marines flounder and then the U.S. crush you. Also I'd probably laugh to the sky as my troops were crushed to bits.
PopTop did not care what you do with it as long as you buy it. Your kind of fun comes from watching the actual films of wars. Please quit complaining about not being able to produce one on your PC. Go get your sick fun in the archives.
It's boreing to look at this thread. However, you have all the want-to-be wargamers here.
