when you play a random game, i wish tropico would randomly set el pesidente's character. he's always a leftist author etc...
if i play random i want to be surprised and play with the cards dealt to me.
of course there should always be the option to manually recalibrated any aspect of his character.

Good idea, perhaps an option you can check saying "Randomly Define Character". If randomly defined character is seleted then the dificutly rating should also be increased.

Yep its completely random. I wish they had given us a way of incorporating it into the game, but its the closest I could get. If you resist the temptation to cheat on the traits you draw, you can really end up with some wild games.  M'Prez |

The reason that it's always on Leftist Author is because you are leaving it on 'Che Guevara' when you click on View/Edit Dossier.
The dossiers the game starts with are based off real dictators. I do think a random dossier would be good, but I just thought I would explain why it starts on Leftist Author.

I also like to control everything about my character even his name. However I wish that I could save those settings so that i wouldn't have to do the same thing EVERY time i play a random map. |

By editing the dossier, some things can be chosen randomly by the game. Not the background or rise to power, as those can't be unchecked. But try unchecking all the choices on advantages or flaws. Random ones will be chosen.

You should try different combinations of traits etc. to see what you like and what you are good with. I like playing a greedy capatilist, paranoid wacko, but sometimes I play as a farmer to get higher farm yields. One flaw not to use in moronic, your economy will suffer badly as it will be hard to use educated workers.

So far as I know, MadamPresident's random dossier generator was lost when she took her site down because of the hackers. I admire a lot of the things MP did, but the random dossier was not my favorite. I have ranted a lot about the illogical personalities which the dossier set up allows players to create.
