I've worked out my sig so that there are exactly 500 characters, although on my last line, "The sword of ancient times is now for kitchen use - Japanese proverb"
it becomes "The sword of ancient times is now for kitchen use - Japanese Prov" And then I look in my profile, it says that I have 3 characters left, so I fill them in, and apply the new settings. I then look at my new nsig, and it cuts off with prov. Whats up with this, and how do I fix it?

But my problem is, It will only let me use 497 charectars. ONLY 497!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Are you sure you don't have blank spaces at the end of your lines or in the blank lines themselves?  It can screw it up I believe.
