Forgive me if this question has already been asked.

I like the demo, will get the game.  The thing I liked least is that the years go by so quick!  It shouldn't take 50 years just to start getting things the way I want, only to have the game end.

My question is:  Is there a way to alter the progression of time so that years take longer?  Is that something that can be manipulated in editor?  Or is a feature that can be turned off in the full version?  Or is using the instant build cheat about the only way to counter the quick passage of years?

Thanks in advance.  P.S.  I have really enjoyed browsing the sight!  I have seen a lot of useful info!!

dude the full version allows you to choose the time period. You can play forever and even elect to continue a timed game just that score is not kept

Cool!  Thanks!!

Whoever moderates can remove this question (like you need MY permission!   Cheesy ) if it's just a waste of space.

Thanks again - I'm going to keep this place in my favorites so I can check in from time to time!

In addition to adjusting the years a game can be in progress, even the demo should have a function on the lower right hand side of the screen that allows you to increase or decrease the speed of time and even pause the game.

Evenin!

And pausing the game is critical, since you will want to pause the game as soon as cargo is loaded onto a ship, and you can spend it all before the first of the month before all of your ungrateful little Tropicans get paid.

No sense paying them with pesos that can be used for more infrastructure...

Gotcha - knew about the speed levels.  The thing is - id I set the time to slow, EVERYTHING is slow.  I want to play the game at normal speed without the time limit.  But since you can apparently do that in the full game, I just need to wait til then!
Thanks for taking the time to help me out, though!!
