Power to the women!

Yes i know that there is such a thread and i have posted hell there but here's something new. 1 ton of tabacco = 1 ton of cigars =$3200/Ton, right?

If you have 6 workers (Max) and they work, it is 6 tabacco into 6 tons of cigars = $3200X6=$19200.If you're gonna build the auto-rollers, get the climate control. Now for 1 tabacco = 1.2 cigars =$4320. Alot eh?

Now auto-rollers can make 1.72 Tabacoo into 1.8 auto cigars at the same speed per worker. (Climate control,20% more tabacco is to cigars ratio. 6 workers = (1.8X6)X$2880 = 10.8X$2880 =$31104. Now if this was hand rolled, it would take half as much more time which should be 1 + 1/2 of a period which takes to make the ratio 1.2 tabacco ratio into 1.2 cigars per worker. The sale would be $34560.

The difference is, $34560-$31104=$3456 which is actually 10% of $34560 that would be exactly $384 per 1.2 tons of auto rolled to hand rolled. The only time that such little amount could amount to so much that it would be useful would be when the game ends. By then, 120 of cigars to 120 of auto rolled, the difference is $38400. $38K? Alot? with 120 auto rolled, it is already $345,600. Another $30k by then would be useless. If you start the cigar factory early, you could have export more than 300tons of cigars by then.

 Cons: Need power plant!

Pros: With 4 people in the factory with auto rolled and sweat shop off, you can make as much as a factory without auto rollers and sweat shop off. The auto rollers give you the power of 2 people. If you switch on sweat shop, you can make as much cigars with 4 people than 6 people without auto-rollers. The auto-rollers cost you $12k to install and electricity. But the pay of 2 average cigar factroy workers is $15. So you need to spend $12,000 divided by $30/month = 400 = 33 years to get back the amount of cash wages given to the 2 workers is to the value of the auto roller. Well in a short term, the auto-roller sucks. Just that you got 2 guys working somewhere else. But in the long run you save $6120 worth of wages on the remaining 17 years till you retire.

But $30k is lost in the process of over 100 tons of cigars which in 50 years ruling should be no problem making, it is not worth it. And so it depends. The sweat shop helps though. If theres less tabacco harvest, let your men releax a little. Sorry if i've made this a little confusing. Read it over again and maybe you'll catch the balls.

LOL you needed pencil and paper to understand me?  Grin Cool. Anyway, yeah i did forget to add in the 12MW of electricty per year. Okay the formula for that is,

12/Overall power produced divided by No. of engineers = Answer A.

Next take the engineers pay and divide it by answer A and you should get answer B. Take answer B and add it to the saved up amount of cash for not having extra 2 workers in the cigar factory per month AND it will also be added to the fact that you still need 33 years to pay of the cost of the auto rollers before you are actually saving cash in that case with electricity cost, you need even longer now. perhapes even the whole of 50 years or so (Just a guess)

My conclusion. NO AUTO ROLLERS! You save $30k compared to the amount you can save from 2 factory worker's wages - the electricity cost.... NO AUTO ROLLERS! NO AUTO ROLLERS! SAVE THE ELECTRICITY!

ok, we get the picture.  never use auto-rollers. i prefere to have my cigars rolled on the thighs of virgins, like the cuban kind. imagine having that option in the factory!

Build half a dozen Tobbaco farms, build 2 cigar factories, and build the Auto-Roller for one factory. You get both types of cigars...the El Tropico Premium and the El Tropico Cheapo.

I have to disagree with Egg's conclusion because he nowhere mentions any variation in production based on when the workers are actually present in the building and when the building is running only at the default minimum rate. That means he has ignored a huge variable, and his figures are invalid.
