Beginning to get to grips with Trop2 but I still suck.

Is there any way to order your ships not to bring back captives or recruits?  I find my islands overflowing with pirates especially and sometimes captives.
Ransoming unskilled captives en masse is fairly easy by ctrl-clicking at the stockade, but getting rid of lots of wealthy captives is a real pain in the arse, having to use the almanac every time, is there an easier way?
Any way to get rid of excess pirates other than betraying them or assasinating them?

Use the walk the plank edict, it prevents your ships from taking captives or recruits.

I'd like to be able to ransom those slop suckers too, but the game doesn't allow you to.  What I think you mean is that you can ransom SKILLED captives at the stockade.  And no, there's really no easy way to ransom off the wealthies other than using the almanac.  You can try the entertaiment buildings and/or hotels; they're usually hanging out in those places.

One other way to get rid of pirates is to send the ones you don't like on a small ship in a dangerous part of the ocean.  They won't come back alive.

Or, if you have my luck, send 'em all on a big ship in dangerous waters.  Same effect, bigger numbers, more teeth gnashing.

No - you can use the 'free prisoner' edict to ransom  *any* captive, including peons.
You don't get any money of course!

I understand you now, Cap'n.  Normally I think ransom = get paid; free = no ransom.  But I see your point.

My bad, technically its not a ransom at all but the effect is the same.
