I'm a pirate!

« on: 05/03/03 at 12:34 PM »

my rating keeps droping to like 45%... at the most i had 61 or 62% but never reach any higher.

i put generous on my boats, i usually try to put the entertainment district away from my productive / captives district but as close to my docks as possible.

i guess i can get pass senario 5 (the one u have to hoard a buncha booty, $1000 minimum) but i would like to do it with more skill  Roll Eyes

i started a similar thread on the general forum but i think its more suitable to put it here so, any ideas welcome. thanks ! Wink

Well, first of all set plunder shares to selfish or miserly. The reason you want to do this is because with the other 2 options(generous, big spender) your pirates gain rank way too fast. When they are high rank they all demand high ranking entertainment. With plunder shares set to lower levels, you can keep up with your pirates and update entertainment as neccesary. Besides, the lower the level the pirate is the easier they are to please.

Besides that, making sure your industry is running smoothly, so all the pirates are getting their goods. Also, use the rig gambling in favor of pirates edict, along with random executions. Those should raise happiness by a few points.

Also, how many pirates do you have on your island? If you have a low number, try providing housing for them.

thx for the tips

as for pirates i usually have around 20 or so, never really many...

im kinda stuck in scenario 6 now, the order, fear, defense ratings seem to have become a huge significant thing all of a sudden and lower all my ratings constantly... also the island is obviously lacking on wood supply, which makes things tougher... im glad i got around 6k hoard from last scenario, so i got some money to spend.

If your having troubles with order, fear, etc. try the edicts. You wouldn't believe the huge boost in fear that the random execution edict gives.

Also, I've found that pirate happiness constantly dips up and down. For me, my pirates happines after a cruise is usually about 55%. After a month of shore leave, its around 65% or higher.
