O.K folks, now I am back online I have been wanting to get back into online gaming, but not in a 8 players vs the world (Diablo II), but real MMORPG.

I'm looking for feedback from anybody who has tales to tell, good or bad, of MMORPG's.

Just so you know, I am looking for games that do not need too higher spec, so EQ II will be out, when released. I'll be into the usual stuff, PK'ing (player-killing), gathering loads of booty, so any game that prevents this is out.

No doubt I will play either a magic user or thief, so a game that allows depth with these characters would go a long way.

So far I seem to be moving towards Ultima Online and Neverwinter Nights, although any others that folks can think of would be helpful.

Dark Age Of Camelot is pretty good if you like PvP; the whole high-end game is geared towards realm-versus-realm PvP. Gameplay is similar to EQ with some tweaks to discourage camping and farming.

Thanks Maus.

Well, after having sampled a few demo's, EQ, Anarchy Online, Ultima Online, over the last week the biggest problem for me will be my PC.

Pretty much everything crawled for me, except UO, so until I have done the wedding thing I think I will have to put serious online play on hold. Although I might just do a serious rash of PK'ing before my 30 day free trail runs out on Brittania. Grin

Mortgage? Got one of those and it'll be getting bigger soon. Hmm, perhaps I can squeeze a PC out of it. Huh

Sell the car? Never!! Have only had the thing 3 months, so I am still in the post purchase buzz period.

Selling the house? Yup, doing that as we type. Grin

Boat? I won't get much for the inflatable boat I use on holidays you know! Sad

Kids? Well, I don't have any of my own yet, but can I sell someone elses to fund my addiction? Grin

a good pc should only set ya back about 1000 us dollars, or about 750 pounds. you dont need monitor, keyboard and all extra little things that you can reuse. at least thats what a goo0d rig in the states cost, i dont know about UK.
