Changing Profile

Hope this is the right place but anyway I'm sure Cafe Dave will work it out!

I've tried to change my personal profile but on every occasion I'm told password not recognised.

What do I have to do?  I know my password although I rarely have to use it as the Forum automatically recognises me on entry.

as long as you enter your password in the textbox towards the top of the profile edit screen, there should be no problem.
make sure you have that filled in (5th from the top, under your email). try that, then post here again with the result.

I've always done this but I've tried again and it still doesn't recognise my password.  Could it be case sensitive? Cos I cant remember whether I used any. When I've cleaned my computer and the main site doesn't recognise me I've never had any difficulty in having it recognised.

It would be case sensitive.

Well I just tried all four possible variants and it still says Password Invalid.

Hi belbincolne.  Sorry for your problem.  I don't know why it would do that.  I can modify your profile for you if you send me an email or message and then you can see if it works after that.

Thanks Dave - I was only going to change picture (Male professor I think it was) and put in a witty(?) comment so if you change the pic for me I'll then retry (if I can remember the wittiscism!).

Incidentally I cant understand the "scoring " system - sometimes I'm over 300 then I drop down to 229(?) - certainly doesn't seem to just keep going up steadily as you'd expect.  Don't worry very much - it's not exactly the most important thing in the world!!!

Done!  I'm not sure why your post count would change unless someone is deleting your posts for some reason.
